Well, that’s the end of a fantastic two-day schools event at the Kings Weston Estate, and what an incredible estate it is too; steeped in history dating back to 1761, when the mansion house was built. Over the last two days, I have been working with four local schools surrounding the estate on behalf of the Kings Weston Action Group (KWAG). We had a fantastic time! We also had a visit from “Barny” the Barn Owl, thanks to David from Owl Occasions. We did lots of wildlife walks around the estate, and plenty of activities for the children, such as clay modelling, leaf art, and dissecting Owl pellets to find out what they have been feeding on.
