Join a guided walk around the Estate, armed with bat echo locators to spot, identify and learn all about these wonderful flying mammals.

Join Steve England at Stoke Park as he guides us around the estate, armed with bat echo locators to see how many different species of bats we can identify in the Estate.

We will look at the various habitats and learn all about bats – how do bats see in the dark, how they find their food,  how they find their way back home, and what makes Stoke Park so rich in British bat species.

There will be a lot of walking involved, including some hill walking, so it is ESSENTIAL to wear sturdy footwear, be stable on your feet, and bring a torch!

There are very limited spaces on this walk. booking on a first-come-first served basis, and must be booked in advance.

Ticket price + Booking Fee

Ticket prices shown INCLUDE EVENTBRITE BOOKING FEE (£0.49 + 6.5% per ticket), i.e. a £10 ticket + BF will cost £11.37.

This event is aimed at those over 12 years old. For children under this age, we recommend finding one of our Family based events, which includes family tickets.

Cancellation/Postponing due to Poor Weather

SE Outdoor Learning events take place outdoors, and therefore unfortunately we may need to be postponed or cancelled in the days leading up to the event if it seems that the weather will be too poor for it to be run safely. We will always aim to confirm cancellation of the event 24 – 48 hours in advance (though on very rare occassions, sudden weather changes may mean its closer than this). Please keep an eye on your emails and Facebook for information regarding this. If you cannot make the postponed date, please request a refund and we will be able to issue this for you asap.
