The Frome Valley stretches for 20 miles, dating back 300 million years in time. Join Steve England on a fossil foray along the Frome and explore the valley to learn how the rocks were formed,  look at the fossils within the rocks, and the prehistoric features that tell a fascinating story. 

We will go fossil hunting to see what we can find for you to take home! The event will run until approximately 12:30pm.

What to Bring?

Your own hammer, chisel and goggles, if you have available. There will be a few to share for those who don’t.

Please wear sturdy footwear and gloves and bring a notepad, pen and camera to record your findings!
