The beautiful Frome Valley stretches for 20 miles, dating back 300 million years in time. Join Steve England on a fascinating fossil hunt along the Frome and explore the valley to learn how the rocks were formed,  look at the fossils lying within the rocks, and spot the prehistoric features that tell a fascinating story. 

We will go fossil hunting to see what we can find for you to take home! The event will run until approximately 12:30pm.

What to Bring?

Your own hammer, chisel and goggles, if you have available. There will be a few to share for those who don’t.

Please wear sturdy footwear and gloves and bring a notepad, pen and camera to record your findings!

Suitable for all ages, children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
