A wildlife walk of Stoke Park with less distance, learning all about the wildlife in the park.

A gentle walk around Stoke Park with Steve England, learning about the trees, plants and wildlife that appears at this time of year throughout the different habitats we encounter.

On this circular walk, we will take a look at our local wildlife at this time of year, learn the interesting facts about its birds, mammals, critters and creatures. We will learn all about the plants & flowers, hedgerows, field species & trees that make up our estate, and maybe have some practical plants knowledge, hedgerow snacks and creative tree uses thrown in along the way! Local conservationist, Steve England will be leading this wonderful walk, finding wildlife as we go and sharing his fantastic wildlife knowledge with you all.

The event will aim to stick to paths and upper woodlands, making the walk more accessible. The event will start at the Vench and use the newly laid path and woodland paths only. You will still need to be able to travel via walking or mobility methods around these paths and woodlands. We will be stopping more regularly and travelling slower than usual event pace to allow for different needs on this walk.

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear. We will be meeting at the VENCH Adventure Playground on Romney Avenue.

Please bring a drink, camera and notepad!

T?his event content is aimed at children and adults aged 6+. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Cancellation/Postponing due to Poor Weather

SE Outdoor Learning events take place outdoors, and therefore unfortunately may need to be postponed or cancelled in the days leading up to the event if it seems that the weather will be too poor for it to be run safely. We will always aim to confirm cancellation of the event 24 – 48 hours in advance (though on very rare occassions, sudden weather changes may mean its closer than this). Please keep an eye on your emails and Facebook for information regarding this. If you cannot make the postponed date, please request a refund and we will be able to issue this for you asap.
