A half-day workshop within Oldbury Court Estate, learning, identifying, sampling or utilising the useful and edible plants found in the park

Join Steve England on a half-day workshop within the beautiful Oldbury Court, for a course covering both Wild Foods and Practical Plants, learning, identifying, foraging and utilsing the plants, trees and edibles available within and around the park in the summer.

Learn how to identify the plants to taste and which to avoid and discover the wild foods from grasslands, woodland and hedgerows. Learn the species suitable for woodcraft and fire and get hands-on with materials we find. Learn to identify edible trees such as lime and useful trees such as willow.

Led by award-winning horticulturalist & conservationist, Steve England, this fun and informative course is a rare chance to discover the array of plants and trees on offer, find out about poisonous look-alikes, understand how to make the most of your surroundings and learn the importance of conservation for your future foraging adventures.

Booking essential and very limited places for this one-off private course. Over 16’s.

We will be meeting at the main path by the Oldbury Court Car Park on Oldbury Court Road.

Cancellation/Postponing due to Poor Weather

SE Outdoor Learning events take place outdoors, and therefore unfortunately we may need to be postponed or cancelled in the days leading up to the event if it seems that the weather will be too poor for it to be run safely. We will always aim to confirm cancellation of the event 24 – 48 hours in advance (though on very rare occassions, sudden weather changes may mean its closer than this). Please keep an eye on your emails and Facebook for information regarding this. If you cannot make the postponed date, please request a refund and we will be able to issue this for you asap.
