Join multi award winning conservation educator Steve England as he guides us around the Stoke park estate looking at the fascinating world of fungi, we will be exploring the uses of them and also seeing first hand how fungi can kill a large tree, a healthy woodland depends on fungi find out why, we will be looking at some of their uses too such as fire lighting , or even knife sharpening, we will be doing some detective work to see what species of fungus are eating away at various trees, this event is suitable for people aged 15 and over, the walk will last around 3 hours, suitable footwear to be worn, limited places, priority given to those who have not attended a fungi walk before, sorry for any dissapointment in advance, to book a place please email newlook388@aol.com
