A walk on the wild side of Stoke Park, learning all about the wildlife in the park

A walk around Stoke Park with Steve England, learning about the trees, plants and wildlife that appears at this time of year throughout the different habitats we encounter.

On this circular walk, we will take a look at our local wildlife, learn the interesting facts about its birds, mammals, critters and creatures. We will learn all about the plants & flowers, hedgerows, field species & trees that make up our estate, and maybe have some practical plants knowledge, hedgerow snacks and creative tree uses thrown in along the way! Local conservationist, Steve England will be leading this wonderful walk, finding wildlife as we go and sharing his fantastic wildlife knowledge with you all.

Booking tickets for this walk is essential – there are very limited spaces. PLEASE if you can no longer attend, let us know ASAP so that we can offer the spaces to others.

Please dress according to the weather and wear sturdy footwear. Bring binoculars, notepad and pen and a drink for the walk!

WHY FREE?

This event has secured funding from Bristol City Council Parks team to put on activities in Stoke Park (AKA your ticket has been kindly paid for!). If you can no longer attend, please get in touch via steveenglandbristol@gmail.com ASAP to let us know so the spaces can be opened up to others who wish to attend.

We may send you a brief feedback questionnaire after the event to find out a little more about how you enjoyed the event. Please do help us put on more events in the future by filling in these if you can.

Cancellation/Postponing due to Poor Weather

SE Outdoor Learning events take place outdoors, and therefore unfortunately may need to be postponed or cancelled in the days leading up to the event if it seems that the weather will be too poor for it to be run safely. We will always aim to confirm cancellation of the event 24 – 48 hours in advance (though on very rare occassions, sudden weather changes may mean its closer than this). Please keep an eye on your emails and Facebook for information regarding this. If you cannot make the postponed date, please request a refund and we will be able to issue this for you asap.
